The bulb decides how your woven lamp looks once it is switched on. A tightly woven rattan or esparto shade lets some light pass through the weave and turns the rest into warm shadow patterns on the wall, so the right bulb matters as much as the fixture itself. A bulb with a visible filament is the most scenic choice for a woven lamp. A retro spiral filament gives the same vintage feel with modern LED efficiency.

Edison-style bulbs work best in open or loosely woven shades where the filament is clearly visible - above a dining table, a bar counter or in a reading corner. Choose a warm tone in the 2200-2700 K range so the amber glow matches the color of the natural fibers instead of reading cold and clinical.

A smart WiFi bulb lets you adjust brightness and tone straight from your phone or by voice, without installing a separate dimmer. That is handy for woven ceiling and table lamps: set warm, low light for the evening, and brighter, more neutral light for reading or work.

If the lamp is wired to a wall dimmer, choose a bulb that is specifically dimmable - ordinary LED bulbs can flicker or buzz on a dimmer. Dimmed warm light is especially good at bringing out the texture of natural fibers and casting cozy shadow patterns in the bedroom and living room.
